TRANSPARENCY & REFERRALS
How Our Referral Helpline Works
What happens when you call, who answers, and what the helpline can and cannot do.
Important disclosure
TriCareRehabs.com is an independent referral and helpline service, not a treatment provider. Calls are answered by South Shores Recovery, a treatment provider. Coverage, costs, authorization, admission, and placement are not guaranteed.
What happens when you call
- Discuss your general needs. A referral representative can discuss potential treatment-provider options and general questions about verifying benefits.
- Verify with the insurer and provider. TRICARE determines benefits and plan requirements. A licensed treatment provider determines clinical fit, level of care, and admission.
- Choose whether to continue. You are not required to use a referred provider and may research alternatives through official TRICARE tools.
What the helpline does not do
- Provide emergency response, medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
- Guarantee insurance coverage, member costs, authorization, admission, or placement.
- Guarantee that a provider is available or clinically appropriate.
- Replace official TRICARE support or an evaluation by a licensed clinician.
